If you are getting an exception error when you attempt to process a move-out for someone who transferred on-site, the problem likely lies with the Rentable Item.  The rentable item is likely "stuck" as a future item because it is currently on notice.  


1. Current resident account: Under manage rentable items, click "Release Now" to release the rentable item.

2. Assuming the resident had the rentable item for the entire month whether in the old or new unit, charge up the prorated credit that will issue when you release the rentable item.   

2. Notice resident account: Complete the move-out.

3. Current resident account: Under manage rentable items, assign the rentable item.  

4. Again, assuming the resident had the rentable item for the entire month whether in the old or new unit, credit the prorated charge that will issue when you assign the rentable item.


If you have already billed rent in the new unit for the following month, check the ledger; you may need to manually charge the ledger for the following month.
