Employer Character Count Error

Modified on Thu, 24 Apr at 6:45 AM

If you receive an error when generating a lease that says there is an employer character count error, this means you need to check the application inside CRM and change the name of the employer to a shortened name.  The issue is that Blue moon only allows 30 characters and Rent Cafe doesn't have the ability (at this time) to limit the character count on the employer in the application.

Sometimes the employer error will say "employer 2" and that would indicate it's a roommate's employer.

Go through CRM to make the change and not Voyager, particularly with the employer 2.  Check every roommate, even those that appear to be duplicates and those that have moved out.  It shouldn't affect the lease if they moved out, but it does.

In CRM, go to the profile and then click on Applicants.  Additional applicants will be listed.  You will need to check all to find the employer name that exceeds the 30 character limit.  :)
